This short movie by Benjamin Stephan and Lutz Vogel grabs your attention for so-called trusted computing and the TCPA, technologies or better politics that are likely to take some freedom from our contemporary computing experience, if we let ’em do it. The clip is deliciously crafted in terms of graphic design, but it somewhat falls short with regard to actually explaining what the TCPA-chip is able to do within our appliances, gadgets, and tools. The clip though definitely does a fine reductio ad absurdum as it confronts the TCPA’s conception of trust with the common understanding of trust.
