When i go to the meetings of the anti-war group i often learn about interesting things from Jan who is into all kinds of stuff. Today i learned about the sport discipline of moving smoothly vertically and horizontally through urban terrain. Simply put, the athlete jumps from one roof to another, or from the roof on the ground or over fences, … This kind of spare time activity is called Parkour and comes from France. If you want to know how this would relate to Mario Brothers, then watch the founder of Parkour, David Belle, move in a marioesque way. Have we come so far that we have to relate to a video game to describe a fundamental concept like jumping around just as our forefathers and mothers did in the jungle? Well, important note for all Parkour enthusiasts and wannabes: you are not alone. In many cities of the world Parkour gangs practice their passion.
