Today in the Spanish course we have talked about “No sé por qué piensas tú”, a poem by the cuban poet Nicolás Guillén, about the relation between soldiers and civilists and how dictaturships benefit from the mutual rejection between its military forces and the people to exercise power. It seems to me that this applies to police in contemporary capitalist societies, as well.
