I just listened to a very interesting two-part podcast about the social gradient in health produced by the CBC. The issue is that many contemporary diseases such as diabetes or obesity can be determined by looking at social factors like income, social relations, education and others while health advocacy still focusses on the individual.     Indeed, what a great podcast! I first heard part one while in the car listening to ol’ 1010 and I was pumped to see the complete two part series published via podcast a few weeks later. Another solid production from Ideas.
