Lots of of bloggers are not too happy with this new iPad.There was 2 much hoopla over it and alot blogers got disapointed.Thing is, I actually see lots of the awesome potential uses of the device. Third-party apps for composing music, games, papers and magazines and FFS books, tons of good stuff, but IMHO they failed to sell it very well (excluding the books). It looks kind of incomplete

Das ÖZIM braucht natürlich immer wieder Unterstützung. Aber das muss keine Einbahnstraße sein, denn man kann hier nette Leute finden und eine herrliche Umgebung.

Drei Vereine, die sich hier aktiv mit einbringen, sind der ÖZIM e.V. als Träger sowie die Food Coop und der “was bewegen e.V.” als Mieter.

Wer Interesse an der Nutzung und Weiterentwicklung des ÖZIM hat, wende sich doch gern an Dana. Sie ist im Vorstand des ÖZIM e.V. und ist Ansprechpartnerin für ehrenamtlich Aktive.

- Baumschule
- Gartenprojekt

- weitere Freiwillige gewinnen und einarbeiten
- Umgestaltung der Räumlichkeiten
- Kurzveranstaltungen / Projekte koordinieren
- Öffentlichkeitsarbeit (Pressearbeit, Flyer gestalten, Infostände…)
- Internetseite (kleine Änderungen an der fertigen Seite vornehmen und hochladen)

Einiges davon ist schon angefangen, anderes vorerst eine Idee. Und vielleicht möchtest Du ja noch etwas machen, was hier gar nicht steht?

yes, speed is one issue, but the interaction design - or the lack thereof - makes this site utterly useless. compared to simple timetables this website is a waste of time and nerves. how glad i am my bike doesn’t need no trip planning forms!

you think it’s bad now? Ha! Previously their home page contained a java applet that took 15-30 seconds to load! Imagine that, you type in http://calgarytransit.com, and your browser appears to just… lock up .. for nearly half a minute… while you’re wanting to rush downstairs and not miss the only bus for the next 45 minutes.

CT just don’t get it. Add to that their failing grade on providing bike racks on the few routes that they said they would, and you have to wonder about the quality of management of the organization.

ich habe das bestimmte gefühl, daß der staat, trotz aller gewaltkonzentration und etablierten ungerechtigkeit, die bürger noch etwas besser vor dem machtriecher der konzerne und werbeagenturen schützt, als jemand anderes das könnte. es gibt immerhin auch ein paar gerechtigkeitsmechanismen. jedenfalls bin ich fast schon froh, wenn ich steuern zahle statt eine willkürliche gebührenerhöhung des stromkonzerns devot entgegenzunehmen.
wahlen sind sinnlos, leider. politikwerbung und produktwerbung beeinflussen gleichermaßen ungerecht. das große problem besteht aus meiner sicht darin, daß die bevölkerung zu faul ist, sich einen überblick zu verschaffen. und warum zu faul? weil es zu leicht ist, sich schnelle befriedigungen zu verschaffen, anstatt einen sinn in seinem leben zu suchen: eine couch, backofenpommes, das subventionierte auto vor der tür. man darf nicht vergessen, daß – bei aller “internen” ungerechtigkeit – unsere wohlgenährte bevölkerung extern sehr wohl herrscht und ausbeutet. oder sprechen wir etwa nicht von uns?

Magdeburg scheint ein Riesenproblem mit der vernünftigen Planung der Nord-Süd und Ost-West Durchquerung zu haben. Vom ganzen Konzept her gesehen sieht es aus als als ob man die Streckenführung mit aller Macht beibehalten will. Diese stammt aus den 20ger Jahren und ist den heutigen Gegebenheiten und Anforderungen nicht mehr gewachsen. Früher Tangente (am Rande berührend) heute Stadtring oder Magdeburger Ring (beides unsinnige Bezeichnungen, weil sie fast schnurgerade mitten durch Magdeburg führt) ist morgens und nachmittags mit Stau belegt und für viele Pendler eine echte Zumutung. Den Uniplatz muss man sich nur bei Google Earth anschauen oder 1x durchfahren um, zu sehen was man mit Geld noch so Anstellen kann ausser Vernünftig auszugeben (dem Architekten und dem zuständigen Planungsmitarbeiter der Stadt hätte ich persönlich die Weichteile abgechnitten :-) ). Andere Städte mit ähnlichen Einwohnerzahlen haben die Problematik des täglichen Verkehrsstromes viel besser gelöst. Man stelle sich als Ortskundiger nur einmal vor man kommt von Richtung Damaschkeplatz holt täglich seinen Lebenspartner, der Ausserhalb arbeitet, vom Hauptbahnhiof ab und fährt mit ihm wieder zurück. Auf dem Rückweg hat man die Hälfte der Stadt gesehen und das jeden Tag. Nun gut, wenn man Beamter ist, ist das viealleicht nicht so schlimm. Aber wenn man in der freien Wirtschaft beschäftigt ist und noch ein wenig mehr um die Ohren hat, ist das schon ganz schön Nervig.Was fehlt, ist ein Rigsystem mit mehreren großen Kreisverkehren.

Gestern beim Tag der offenen Hochschultür der FH Magdeburg-Stendal sagte der Dekan des FB Journalistik/ Medienmanagement in einem Interview auf der Show-Bühne, dass im Netz in nächster Zeit die Stunde der VJ für Websites und Blogs kommen wird und jetzt schon namhafte Medien (Zeitungen etc.) für ihre Seiten Leute suchen, die dieses Handwerk beherrschen. Vielleicht hat Flickr - diesen Zug der neusten Entwicklung voraussehend- deswegen dieses Portal eingerichtet.
Das Video Autum in Rochmond ist übrigens wirklich sehr schön anzuschauen.

Nice idea for the masses (not for me), but I have to critize the example, cause I see a gap between “less than 1.000 dollars” and “more than 100.000 dollars”, where the missing part is the group of people I belong to, grateful to the Euro-Dollar-Relation today.

Nein, ganz im Gegenteil: statt Energie nur weiterzuverkaufen, können Energiegenossenschaften selbst auch Elektrizität erzeugen. Dabei können sie schon bei geringen Mitgliederzahlen aktiv Energie erzeugen. Insbesonders regenerative Energien eignen sich dazu, weil sie oft dezentral gewonnen werden, ohne dabei gigantische Anlagen wie bei Atomkraftwerken zu bedürfen. In Magdeburg gibt es zum Beispiel eine Bürgersolarstromanlage (PDF).

Klingt interessant. Nur müssen solch kleine Genossenschaften Strom doch zwangsläufig bei den großen Erzeugern kaufen … und die werden den “kleinen” wohl kaum Sonderpreise einräumen.
Was man aber damit sicher am Preis spart ist die angesprochene Gewinnmaximierung.
Das dürfte von der Sache was ähnliches sein, wie die freien Tankstellen, oder?
